The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental hygiene and a deep understanding of oral health.
Our Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in promoting dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, providing oral cancer screenings and radiographic studies, and educating patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions.
Responsibilities Administering oral hygiene care to patients, including cleaning, polishing, x-rays, and fluoride treatments.
Conducting initial patient screenings.
Taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays).
Preparing patients for dental examinations and assisting our dentists during the examination.
Educating patients on good oral hygiene habits.
Assessing the oral health of patients and reporting findings to dentists.
Documenting patient care and treatment plans.
Ensuring the operatory is well-stocked and treatment rooms are prepared for patient examinations.
Adhering to all safety and infection control regulations.
Collaborating with dentists and dental assistants to ensure optimal patient care.
Qualifications Registered Dental Hygienist credential is required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Dental Hygiene.
Proficiency in digital X-Ray techniques and equipment.
Exceptional knowledge of dental procedures, clinic protocols, patient care, and dental administrative functions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Excellent manual dexterity and the ability to maintain concentration for extended periods.
A commitment to continuing education in dental hygiene and related fields.
Current CPR certification.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and patient management software.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Must be a team player with a patient-first attitude.
